Hailing from Stockton, California, The Tones debut album can best be described as a journey through aural enlightenment. Comprising of Retro (raps and produces) and Suhn (raps and sings), Dreamtalk is a complete album containing fifteen tracks of soul numbing, thought provoking music. Its actually a bit of a challenge to manifest a negative comment to say about it. If their next album is better, I guess that would qualify. With messages of hope, justice, and social growth, Dreamtalk is can’t miss. “It would be so good, if rap wasn’t so hood, and we stood for a music that only elevates/ and since we misunderstood, I’m hoping maybe we could, for the good, find a way we can communicate”. This album should be curriculum.
