Denizen Kane | Brother Min’s Journey To The West Album Download and Review
Free Download: Denizen Kane – Brother Min’s Journey To The West
Artist: Denizen Kane
Album: Brother Min’s Journey To The West
Label: Galapagos4
Release Date: October 6, 2009
Denizen Kane is back with another high road traveling effort, bringing with him a message that preaches for equality and shouts down the walls of classism. A fair description of Kane’s style is like a hip hop version of Neil Young, having been active in movements for minority rights and anti-war political stances. Also the unique voice and heavy guitar usage in his music beg the comparison as well. Having burst onto the scene with his Chicago based spoken word crew, I Was Born With Two Tongues, Denizen Kane followed up by forming Typical Cats with Qwel, Qwazaar, Denizen Kane, J-Rok Tha Freshest, DJ Natural and Kid Knish (one of the most underrated hip hop groups ever assembled). Brother Min’s Journey To The West is the third installment of Tree City Legends, a story telling format Denizen uses for his albums. The first two will be available on our site at a later date. All three are outstanding works with eye-opening scenarios of beating the struggle. While Kane uses a formula for his story building, the music itself is diverse with a variety of tempos and beats. Take a break from your own everyday struggles and embark with Min. Its a rewarding journey.
